Like my lizards? Frogs? One of my beloved collectors is thinning out the herd, so to speak. *grin* Here's where to go for a nice collection of some of my vintage work, as well as some jewelry she's created from my beads and others. I see a few of my favorites there - a sage frog, the one pictured below, and the jewelry she's created is just yummy.

ZOMG - I just got prescription glasses for lampworking, I'm super excited... Off to go melt glass and see if I can see better than with my clip-ons. *grin*
Update - D'ya know how when you get a new pair of regular glasses, you're stumbling around with a headache until you get used to them? Yeah... it's that, but while working with hot glass. w00t! I'm sure it will totally rock in a day or two once I acclimate fully.

New items up and waiting for the sunrise... I'm a bit ahead of myself now anticipating a busy day Sunday... I'm not sure yet if eBay auctions will launch tomorrow or not... I'll get back to you on that. Thanks for stopping by!

One of the beadmakers I admired when I started was Jinx Garza. She made gorgeous hearts and "evil eye" beads, each more stunning than the next. I kept waiting for the right one to call to me to add to my collection, but then... I learned she was on hiatus. (Lesson learned: procrastinating on art work = not a good idea.) She's had some health issues in the meantime, and is now gloriously, wonderfully, back. I'm delighted to "see" her again and wanted to share. Good luck and best of health to you, Jinx, happy beading!

I'm putting more beads on eBay tonight, they reminded me of my favorite story about Picasso... When he was in his blue period, his work was analyzed as an extension of his mood - was he depressed? despondant? What could have caused him to paint with all blue? Finally, someone asked the great man... Blue paint was cheaper. Sometimes it is the easy answer... And while light sky blue glass isn't necessarily my first choice specifically because it's cheaper (hey, it's all paid for, use it!) I do like it. A lot. Especially on eBay tonight...

Yay for more beads! Some will be landing on eBay tonight, some Tuesday. I had a fab class today, thanks to the ladies who made it fun. The next round will be a beginner's class on July 26th and a intermediate class (subject to be announced, any ideas?) on July 27th. Roger Child let me know he's going to keep his store stocked on bead stands - OMG they're wonderful! Check out the link in my links page, they're a great way to display sheep, cats, aliens... Oh, and Roger's beads, too. *wink*

Thanks again to everyone who found beads that needed homes! My only new item still remaining is a wonderful lizard - they amuse me. (Ok, really all my beads amuse me - that's why I make them - but this one happens to be looking at me from the drawer begging to not be dunked in the etch bath. I'm fighting the urge... for now...)
In interest of sharing other artists that amuse me... I'd like to introduce Lauren. I've been looking through her Etsy store and giggling and thought you may like to as well. (I'm not an Etsy member... there's too much temptation there for me.)

***EBAY AUCTIONS WILL LIST TUESDAY, NOT TONIGHT.***
(Just because I can.)
More wonderful flowers blooming in my yard - columbine and spiderwort, ahhh...

There were a few thunderstorms this week that threw me off my groove - I don't like torching during electrical storms for fear of them doing bad things to my kiln. I hope to have a better selection of work next week.
The forecast for today is dark, dreary, and stormy... Fortunately the outside didn't listen, it's a beautiful day.
Happy Father's Day, too! I made a couple of Dad's day sheep - they're primer ones, since my Dad's a Car Guy... More on that on eBay later. :)
